Obviously this is a week dedicated to thanks. Maybe some of you out there were expecting some really thoughtful piece on everything I have to be thankful for. Its true. My cup runneth over. But like I said before, this was never intended to be neither comprehensive, nor a ‘top’ list. Just what happens to be on my mind this week. And this week my thoughts are dominated by ONE thought.
TG#6: This week I’m thanking all my lucky stars that: THE BOSS IS COMING TO HOUSTON! When he started announcing concert dates several months back, I was completely bummed that he was making no stops even remotely near me. I even explored tickets in Madison Square Garden (the Boss at the Garden=the way rock and roll was meant to be). But 2 grand for ONE ticket was rich, even for a die-hard like me. (damn you scalpers! Let the real fans have their moment.) So when I saw the headline in the Chronicle last week, I immediately started humming Badlands, followed by Hungry Heart, followed by Radio Nowhere, followed by all my other favorite Bruce songs. I have been blessed to have seen him twice before, and they remain my happiest live music memories, and I’ve seen a lot of great concerts (I still love you JT). I'm telling you people, its the small things.

I am thinking you should totally bumrush the stage this time around. I mean, next time you see him, you'll probably be in your 30s and "responsible" so this will be your last chance for it to be excusable. 'Remember that one time I got arrested for jumping on Bruce at his concert. I was young and impressionable...' and it would be so worth it! And we would still have two weeks to get you out of the bighouse before the wedding. Just something to consider...
I wasn't thinking the TG this week needed to be monumental. More that it was just on a Friday as opposed to a Sunday:) Ouch! You should also find a way to list the stadium club on your list of TG's for 2007!
