Thankfully I didn't go on record anywhere saying that it was my New Years resolution to blog more frequently. No good excuses, so I won't waste your time.
So, this past Christmas, both sides of the Half Street clan lavished an embarrassing amount of love, attention, and presents on the assorted children in our lives. I shiver to think of the vast quantities of time that was spent finding the exact right presents for all my nieces. And of course the biggest hit of all, was a total after thought. The Half Street mom, picked up a bunch of goofy wind up toys as she was exiting a toystore in Kansas. Two little dancing robots found their way into the HSH's and my stocking. Ella was fascinated. So much so that I recently received an email from the SIL-E relaying a message from Ella asking that I please bring them with me the next time I visit. In my mind the conversation went like this:
SIL-E: Guess what's happening in March?
Ella:
SIL-E: Tia and La-La are coming to visit! And guess what else?
Ella:
SIL-E: WE'RE GOING TO DISNEYWORLD!
Ella: Is Tia bringing her robots?
Kids. Totally impossible to keep happy. Not that it stops me from trying. So for you Ella... Direct from Tia's house I bring you.....THE ROBOTS!

good stuff.
Ha ha! Disney World Shmisney World--dancing robots please! She hasn't stopped talking about those things--"the boy robot is blue and the lady robot is pink"
Okay, didn't realize that was a video--hilarious! I'll be showing that to Ella tomorrow morning!
Ok, I'm sorry, I blew it. Lito and I were in the toy store last weekend and saw more of them. We knew Ella was chattering about them and didn't know if Posey could find them. We picked up a pair and I shipped them off in a care package to the girls at the first of the week. It's ok, Erin, you can tell Ella they are from Tia.
no worries mom. the video can hold her over till the robots arrive!
Thanks, I'm so glad you aren't ticked!
Considering that, prior to Christmas, Ella enjoyed the package wrappings more than the actual present, she has come a long way.
Good blog.
