Dog Days of Summer

Well Ripken certainly had an adventure filled weekend. On Saturday morning he experienced his first Bark Park! Who knew but Houston apparently has tons of these things. Including one named for the former first dog. After reading about all the cool things they had to offer, plus seeing how much Rip enjoyed his ‘off leash’ time at the ranch last weekend, Kim and I decided Sammy and Rip should have a play date! Yay for being a yuppie.

Below are some pictures of their good time. Sam really dug the pool, where as the puddles around the pool were more Ripken’s speed. Rip seemed more interested in smelling and peeing on everything, then really enjoying the company of other dogs. We also learned yuppie dog owners who take their pooches to the Bark Park can be snobs (who would have thought). Specifically one couple that didn’t appreciate being loved on by Sammy and Ripken after leaving the pool area. Come on people. You’re at a DOG PARK. Sitting next to a body of water. You really mean to tell me that it didn’t enter your mind that you might get wet? We also learned that Sammy’s vibe is too powerful to ignore. There was one amorous English Mastiff that found her irresistible. Sam was not feeling it.

Mike has Ella, you have Rip. One with hair, one without. Both so cute!

Hey Mike, since I see you are on line, does that mean you are up-dating your blog?

Anyway, Pose, thanks for the up-date! lots of love

I'm sure Sammy was thinking, "I'll only love you if your mom or dad cooks me eggs in the morning".
