The following things have happened to me since I last posted:
1. We bought a new car.
2. The half street fiancé (yay I love saying that) started a new job thus ending the era of us working together
3. I boogied down to the JT concert on HBO with Angie and Nancy, and they surprised me with a cookie cake (which will always have a soft spot in my heart now). We had fun reliving the concert that we all admitted we only partially remembered thanks to a strong pouring bartender at the Toyota Center. Picture this: 3 young professional women, dancing around a living room trying to immitate the moves of JT's backup dancers, like 11 years olds watching Hannah Montana. Thank goodness I know people I can let my inner back up dancer out around. Doesn't he look like he's singing to me in this picture? I love you too, JT.
4. I learned that everything relating to weddings is exceedingly overpriced5. I’ve realized I don’t value my sanity very much, as I have decided NOT to get a coordinator (you're welcome Shannon)
6. The Rice Owls are 0-2 (ouch)
7. Ella has started walking, and I’m TOTALLY MISSING EVERYTHING COOL SHE DOES
In other news, I've come to the realization that when it comes to weddings there is no such thing as an original idea. Every time I think I have a cute new idea, a quick trip to Google shows me that a bajillion brides before me have had the same idea. Hmm, what's a bride to do? Stay tuned (in the not as distant future...promise).

As long as your guests haven't seen it, every idea is original:) You could always give away toothbrushes and toothpaste...oh wait, we did that;)
I know how busy you've been, but I was glad to see a new post! Try not to stress out too much!
Whoa, you have been busy!! Wedding planning will do that to you. Enjoy it though; it is fun, I promise. Who needs a coordinator when you have a great helper!!
Congrats, again!!
I am also a closeted JT concert watcher! Mike went to sleep early that night so I turned it on and I really enjoyed it. Sadly, I didn't know half the songs he sang but wow he's a good performer!
You are so right. Nothing is original when it comes to weddings. Check this out... We thought our lame wedding theme (obviously to go with the lame web page) was sooo original. Then we saw a giant billboard for mylamewedding.com - people actually asked us if that was our billboard. I think it was for a marriage counselor or divorce lawyer or something like that. We didn't have a wedding planner either - wouldn't change a thing. We loved our little lame wedding. Have fun and congrats!!!! - Lisa
