Sorry that I'm late. This week, meaning last week, I was thankful for the fact that when people find a good new recipe they send them to me! I'm always on the look out for something new & tasty, and the easier the better. I get so many, I had to create a whole folder in my email inbox to contain them! In that spirit, I'm passing on one that got rave reviews (mainly from JRK) at a party I took it to this weekend. This gets extra points for being super easy, because everything is sold in the quantities called for, so no measuring!
Baked Potato Dip (as seen at the Vaughan's annual Christmas Party)
1 16oz pkg of sour cream
1 8oz pkg of cream cheese (softened)
2 cups shredded cheddar cheese (yes they sell bags with approx. 2 cups of shredded cheese in them & it says so right on the bag!)
3 oz jar of Hormel real bacon pieces
1 cup chives (optional-didn't use because it messes up my pre-measured bonus)
Mix all ingredients together. Cover and bake @ 400 degrees for
25-30 minutes. Serve warm

i like that a supermajority of the ingredients involve some form of cheese.... delish!
Too bad I didn't eat any of it. Smelled pretty good! JRK's pookie bear enjoyed the sausage balls: 1 pckg cheese, 3 cups of bisquick and 1 tube of jimmy dean sausage. Mush together until it is one big moist ball!
ah yes, those were quite tastey. in fact I witnessed ben c. dip a sausage ball in the baked potato dip. He claimed it was delish. I was surprised I couldn't hear his arteries clogging up.
